You are bidding on this Japanese-style fixed blade knife has never been used, carried or sharpened.  There are no maker's marks on the knife that I can find.  The Damascus blade is a needlepoint, dagger grind, sharpened on both edges.  There are filed notches on both edges near the handle, presumably to "feel" the blade before your thumb touches an edge.  The handle is black leather wrapped with a floral Menuki on both sides.  The sheath is form-fitted leather, that looks like (and could be) alligator or cayman.  Nice tight fit.
