Description

We are pleased to be offering today this set of 6 solid well-built oak dining chairs that date from the 1890s in original finish and condition. They consist of 5 carved panel back chairs and one large master armchair. They are in the Tudor style, which would remind you of an England castle. These are American made, solid and heavy. In the Jacobean style, the legs are multi-tapered with a block foot, solid oak cross stretcher, incise carved flowered back, raised panel shield in the center, ball finials on the top, egg and dart molding on the top, carved skirts and soldi oak seats. These most likely had a set of slip-on cushions at one time. They are sturdy and majestic. The armchair is 24 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 20 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 20 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat, 29 inches high to the arms and 47 inches high to the chair back. The side chairs are 19 inches wide, 18 inches deep, 18 inches high to the seat and 42 inches high to the chair back. Other than some slight finish loss, they are in unbelievable original condition for being 130 years old. You are getting all six chairs for one money. Shipping starts at $325 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast.
