I know this is true vintage because I have owned it for a LOONG time! It’s also got a label on the bottom that says

“Made in Taiwan

Republic of China”

 

It’s very nicely made: the legs, moving treadle and the machine itself on an incised platform is a pewter colored metal and the cabinet is a really finely grained and finished mahogany colored wood. 

Best of all-- all four tiny drawers have perfect little knobs and pull all the way out to their 1-1/4” depth!

The whole thing is 3-1/8” tall and just under2-3/4” wide. And it's heavy for it's size - weighing in at 2.2 ounces.

 It’s not like anything similar I’m seeing on-line. It’s not missing anything it ever had since I’ve owned it – it’ just a simple yet very nicely made piece!
