Gorgeous vintage 1990s Escada red and black cashmere and wool blend opera coat with oversized notch lapel collar, four double breasted buttons front closure, light shoulder pads, long raglan style sleeves with straight cuffs and oversized cocoon/tent silhouette. Gorgeously plushy and soft wool, angora and cashmere blend fabric, fully lined. Made in Germany.

Two dilemmas: First - I am not sure if this coat has pockets. There are pocket slots at front, but they are uncut (fully sewn in, not just stitched) and it feels like there is enough fabric under the lining that there could actually be pockets in there. I make no promises. Second - the fit. This coat is designed to fit oversized, because that's what power dressing meant in the 90s - the bigger the coat, the bigger the... wallet... ego... You get the idea. The coat was made in Germany and the size on the tag is 38 (which translates into a US 6). This coat is NOT a size 6. It's more like a size 66. It will swallow a size 6 whole and then ask for more. However, it is designed to fit oversized on a S/M sized body, so I have no idea in the vicinity of what actual modern size it's situated. Measurements are below. I hope you survived this paragraph.

The coat can be worn belted or not, the belt in the photo is NOT included in the sale. Neither is the dress. Just the coat. COAT ONLY.

Items come from a smoke free, pet free, mostly chemicals free home (fragrances, detergents, sprays, etc.). I ship all orders according to package weight, either in Ebay branded white envelopes or in USPS provided priority mail envelopes or boxes. In order for the items to fit in the envelopes/boxes, they must be folded, and therefore they will arrive at your destination wrinkled. There is nothing I can do to prevent wrinkling that happens in transit. All is not lost though - give it a quick steam and it will look like new. If the item is dry clean only, you should probably take it to a dry cleaner to have it pressed.
