Scarce 1961 Hamburger Restaurant Giveaway Comic Book

This is a copy of ADVENTURES OF THE BIG BOY COMICS #53. This early Silver Age giveaway comic book was produced by WEBS ADVERTISING for distribution to guests at BIG BOY Restaurants.

This features fun comic stories with the BIG BOY character and his girlfriend Dolly. This issue features:

• Cliff Hanger!
• The Undersea Monster - the logo of this chapter heading and the monster are an homage to the Marvel pre-hero monster comics at the time. Some of the same Timely staff may have worked on this comic book!

This is a standard size full color Silver Age comic book, with a self-covered paper cover and 16 full color pages.

CONDITION:  This copy is clean and bright, with only minor wear. Sharp corners, lays flat, and has nice printed colors. The cheap newsprint paper is aging, getting cream at bottom, but is still supple. There is a tiny chip out of the lower left corner of the back cover and next to last page - see pic. The inside pages are supple off-white getting a bit cream at the bottoms. A great copy in hand to read!
