This is a copy of MY SECRET LIFE #47. This was published in 1962 by CHARLTON COMICS.
This is the first appearance of SUE AND SALLY SMITH, FLYING NURSES.
Charlton took many chances during the early Silver Age, publishing a lot of unusual comics. Here, they took the romance title MY SECRET LIFE and added an element of adventure - two sisters who parachuted out of airplanes into trouble! This is an early women heroes team, as well.
And Charlton not only gave the Flying Nurses a story, they put them on the cover as well! FIRST COVER APPEARANCE!
After this issue, the title changed to SUE AND SALLY SMITH, FLYING NURSES and the numbering continued, starting with issue #48. The Flying Nurses had their own comic for seven more issues. This MY SECRET LIFE #47 is the Flying Nurses' first appearance and first cover appearance.
This is a standard size comic book. It has a slick cover, and 36 color pages.

CONDITION: This copy has reading wear but is solid and clean. There is a subscription crease down the middle of the book, which breaks the color on the cover - see pic. This is the D.M. GROSECLOSE copy - as is written in pen on the front cover - see pic. There are a couple of chips and tears in the upper right corner of the cover - see pic, There is some stress with lines near the top staple, but both staples are holding tight. There is some spine wear, with some wear at the top 1" of the spine, but the spine is intact and solid. There is a 1/4" chip off the lower right corner of the front cover - see pic. The inside pages are very nice off-white. A nice solid copy to hold and to read!
