These are fabulous quality and most probably from the early production run from 1952 onwards....they have weight and are a really nice hand hold and being crystal they catch the light in a rainbow of colours and have a ring when tapped.

The pattern is called "Alana" and is beautifully deep cut with an all over diamond/hobnail pattern which you can feel with your fingers and aids the light refraction! The Alana was named after a Gaelic term of endearment and has now been discontinued.  The stem is also cut on 6 sides (hexagonal) which is faceted and really catches the light and the foot is plain.

They are all signed by Waterford making them 1st quality and the signature is very faint and placed discreetly in the center on the underside.  I have captured one of the signatures for you in a photo.  Lots of photos all will enlarge and ask if questions/queries and I can provide more photos if needed.

Each glass measures 5 1/8" high x 2 1/8" top rim diameter and 2 3/8" wide base. They are handmade.

Taken from a display cabinet and hardly used, so they remain in fabulous good condition with no chips or cracks.  No box.
