This Faberge Egg Pendant necklace is a tasteful creation that, with a brush of subtlety demonstrates an uncommonly skillful level of artistry in design. Despite the many gems, I get complements on this piece at both work and formal affairs, but because of its subtle design and the careful skill that the gems have been cut, it doesn’t jump out and advertise itself as an ostentatious piece of jewelry. The chain is dainty, and the adjustable length permits it to be displayed discretely or more prominently, depending on the occasion. Prominent display makes for a stunning effect most appropriate to formal engagements. Conversely, when I wear this with a button up shirt at work, it can subtly peak out and draws tasteful compliments and curiosity.

These factors all unite to make this historic Faberge egg necklace, executed with a tasteful blend of careful cut gems, a versatile newcomer to even the most expansive jewelry collection. The execution and design are without compare in quality (even compared to my Cartier stuff!) Worn alone or with other pieces, I usually go for long stretches wearing the necklace, as once it is on, it becomes hard to take off, and matched with everything!

Condition: As the metal used is polished rose gold, there are some smaller scratches that become visible throughout with a jewelers loop, but the overall condition is excellent and consistent with the love and diligence of a careful owner, and I have done my best to address this aging in the price. Even so, Faberge is usually happy to send these off for a light polish for a nominal fee.
