Mac Pro 5,1

One of the greatest and most versatile Mac workstations Apple has ever created. You can still use this as a modern graphics station and run all the current Adobe software. It’s been heavily upgraded to keep it going strong with smooth performance.

* 64 GB RAM from OWC

* 2 TB SSD (OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G SATA to PCIe), macOS 12 Monterey freshly installed

* 1 TB HD, macOS 10.14.6 Mojave freshly installed

* 2 TB HD for use as a Time Machine or additional storage

* AMD Radeon RX 580 Sapphire (8 GB) graphics card with DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI ports, can run 4K monitors

* USB 3.0 x4 PCIe card

* eSATA x2 PCIe card

* Wifi USB Adapter for faster wireless

* 2x 2.66 GHz 6 Core Intel Xeon processors

This computer is configured to dual boot into macOS 12 (Monterey), and 10.14.6 (Mojave). Mojave was the last officially supported OS for this machine, and it’s here for maximum compatibility. It has also been further updated with a third-party boot loader to run Monterey.

Monterey runs smoothly. One side effect is that since Apple didn’t expect this machine to run macOS 11 and up, they never wrote Wi-Fi or Bluetooth drivers for it. So while running Monterey, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth won’t work. But this can be overcome with the included USB Wi-Fi antenna, which provides a fast signal. As long as you don’t need Bluetooth, all other aspects of Monterey runs really well. This issue doesn’t happen in Mojave.
