Henschel/Porsche Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger   4.25"   2"

The German Jagdtiger (SdKfz 186) "Hunting Tiger" was a tank destroyer made on the slightly extended chassis of the Tiger II "King Tiger". It featured very heavy armor and a powerful 128mm L/55 PaK44 gun capable of defeating any tank fielded in WW2, even at long ranges. It had 250mm armor on the front glacis, which made it practically invulnerable to any frontal fire. However, the Jagdtiger had no turret, and the main gun had a limited traverse of only 10 degrees, meaning the entire vehicle had to turn to aim at enemy tanks. It suffered from the same maladies as the King Tiger: an underpowered engine, frequent breakdowns, and poor maneuverability. These problems, along with the lack of a turret, made it extremely vulnerable to infantry with anti-tank weapons. Still, when properly supported, the Jagdtiger was an extremely formidable opponent.

The Panzerjager Tiger or Jagdtiger was a tank destroyer that saw service from late 1944 to the end of the war on both the Western Front and Eastern Front. It was the heaviest armored fighting vehicle to see service during World War II.

Dragon's 1:72 scale Jadgtiger is constructed entirely from plastic, which allows for the finest level of detailing. Cutting torch marks can be seen at the ends of the casements on the armor plates, and rivets, bolts and handles are visible on the superstructure's hatches and thinly hollowed engine vents. The hull features separately applied headlights, separately applied track equipment and the visible barrel of the internal machine gun. Releases in this series have a simulated Zimmerit coating or battlefield equipment and spare tracks mounted on hooks to the sides of the casement. Available models include the Henschel with nine road wheels and the Porsche version with eight.
