Men’s vintage 9 ct GOLD cased RECORD mechanical hand wind wrist watch . The solid gold case is hallmarked as London and 1956 . Good lustre silver dial with gold coloured indices ( numerals and arrow pointers ) complemented by gold coloured hands . Subsidiary seconds dial . Dial has SWAN logo and RECORD below 12 position and SWISS MADE below 6 position . Watch is powered by in-house Record movement caliber 022-18 which is signed with Swan logo .  Hand wind movement having 15 jewels and operating at 18000 A/h with approx 40 h power reserve . Case dimensions approx 32 mm excluding crown x 38 mm over lugs x 10 mm th . Attractive elongated lugs curved downwards . Fixed bar lugs . Good sized knurled crown to facilitate smooth winding . Watch functions correctly , runs reliably and keeps time . Do not expect quartz accuracy from a vintage mechanical watch . Brown leather strap with gold coloured pin buckle . The case has fixed lugs  . 

I have had the watch in my collection for over 10 years and it has not been serviced whilst owned . Prior service history is unknown .

A good original example of a Record watch dating to 1956  so ideal for serious watch enthusiast / collectors or for someone wishing to mark the year 1956 with a classic vintage watch .
