I originally purchased these used from a friend who was slightly less careful than I was with the jacks on the earcups. As you can see in the images there are small blemishes on the aluminum mainly near those locations however they are hard to notice at all unless you are specifically looking for them in the light. There is also one tiny pressure dent in the aluminum on the top rear portion of the left earcup.

All of these came from the previous owner so I can attest that I haven't had any issues with these while I've owned them for the past year and a half. I have never driven them hard and I have always used them with a Fiio K5 Pro DAC/AMP on Low Gain, never over half volume.

Only modifications made to them is the earcups. I purchased the Dekoni Fenestrated cups and attached them as they are more comfortable than the original pads and hold your head a little better.
