You are bidding on a small lot of eight mint “stamps” from the South Moluccas Republic (Republik Maluku Selatan). The issue range of the stamps is from 1950 to 1951 and the lot contains regular issues, an airmail (Luchtpost), and a postage due (Pos Udara). The postage due stamp has hinge damage on the back’ the rest are MNH. Scott Catalog states: “It appears that the stamps of the so-called Republic of South Moluccas were privately issued and had no postal use.
