Up for auction is a vintage deck with metal tin of what I believe to be Hwatu cards (possibly Hanafuda) (Korean or Japanese, research suggests Korean but I'm not an expert).

I am not familiar with this type of deck, but I have played a digital version of koi koi and recognize this basic set of images.

The beautiful tin features a stag / deer and is a bit dented but still holds the cards well.  It did its job and has protected the cards marvelously over the years, the cards are in excellent condition.

There are 47 cards present, so it may be missing one, I have included photos of all cards so you can make your own judgment.  (I think there are supposed to be 48?)

The cards are made with a nice thick material and feel / look great.

Regardless, it's a beautiful set and tin, ready to find a good home.

From wikipedia:

"Go-Stop (Korean: 고스톱; RR: Goseutop), also called Godori (Korean: 고도리, after the winning move in the game) is a Korean fishing card game played with a Hwatu (Korean: 화투) deck. The game can be called Matgo (Korean: 맞고) when only two players are playing.

The game is derived from similar Japanese fishing games such as Hana-awase and Hachihachi, though the Japanese hanafuda game Koi-koi is in turn partially derived from Go-Stop."
