c 1945 Child’s Fine Porcelain Tea Lunch Set Schumann Arzberg Bavaria Germany

This is a child’s high-quality porcelain Tea or Lunch set manufactured by Schumann, Arzberg, Bavaria, Germany, c 1945.

Just like the adult counterparts, this child’s set is made to the same standards with elegant raised pattern and gilt edges and accents.  Added to this are delightful and vibrantly colorful decorations in a variety of old fable designs embellished with lady bugs, bees, birds, butterflies, ducklings, dragonflies, and a mouse.

The Schumann manufactory began in 1881 and was operated and managed by the family until 1996.  The mark on the underside dates this set c 1945.  This child’s set consists of:

(1)   Tea or Coffee Pot with Lid:  6.5” W x 4” D x 7.25” H

On the knob of the Lid there is a slight yellow spot, and the Ladybug transfer

       has been disrupted.

(1)   Sugar with Lid:  3.25” W x 3.5” H

(1)   Creamer:  3.25” W x 2.25” D x 3.25” H

(2)   Plates:  6.25” Diameter

(1)   Cup:  3.25” W x 2.75” D x 1.675” H

(1)   Saucer:  4.25” W

Please ignore the white glare reflections in the photos.  This child’s porcelain Tea or Luncheon set is in excellent condition with the exceptions listed above.  This set is made from very fine white porcelain that can be used for food and liquids; however, it is not dishwasher safe, so please hand wash.  Although this set was used by a child, the gilt edges are in outstanding condition.
