The first picture is what remains of an original Atlanta Arsenal accoutrement set. The reproduction set is made from this copy and includes the intricacies and subtle differences of this equipment. The cartridge box w/.58 caliber tins has a non scalloped front, the stitches which hold the closure tab are in an arc, the inside lunette flap has the straight line AA stamp, the rear belt loops are pointed, not rounded, the sling loops have one middle row of stitching at the V rather than a row on both sides, the finial is a round pewter ball type. The sling is a woven cotton webbing material with leather ends. The cap pouch is a shield front pattern with a pointed pewter finial, a wide belt loop on the rear and the arched AA stamp. The bayonet scabbard has the arched AA stamp and a pewter finial for a bayonet tip, and is sized for an Enfield bayonet, so it may be a little loose with a Springfield, but shouldn't be a major problem. The belt has the archetypical AA belt plate. This item is produced of American made materials and sewn in a one man, veteran owned shop, hand cut from patterns taken from originals copied back when I was working as a museum director under the auspices of the U.S. Army Center of Military History, hand dyed and hand sewn as the originals. Most items are shipped out next day USPS. Check the prices of hand done equipments, check my feedback, then bid on some of the best authentic items available in the USA, no foreign stuff here!
