The 2TB Ethernet Hard Disk from LaCie is a high-capacity drive that is designed to be used by workgroups over a computer network. It is compatible with a number of different client operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS, Linux and UNIX. Four USB 2.0 ports are avialable for connecting additional drives to be shared over your network.
The drive can be administered remotely via a web protocol interface but keyboard, mouse and monitor ports are also available for users who wish to directly administer the drive. The drive is powered by Windows XP Embedded and allows for up to 25 users to simultaneously access data over its Gigabit Ethernet connection, making this a great solution for small office workgroups.
2TB Capacity
2TB of capacity allows for storage of approximately 150 hours of uncompressed DV digital video, the equivalent of 425 4.7GB DVD-Video discs, or up to 500,000 MP3 files.
Gigabit Ethernet Interface
The Gigabit Ethernet interface delivers 1000 Mbps bandwidth, taking away bottlenecks as multiple users access the drive. Administrators are able to remotely administer the drive through a standard LAN connection, making it easy to add to your existing network infrastructure.
