A liposome is an artificial microcapsule surrounded by a special membrane of phospholipids, which is very similar to the membrane of human cells and is used as a means of introducing nutrients and pharmaceutical products. Liposomes are like small safes, inside which vitamins, minerals or various nutrients are placed, and from the outside they are protected by two layers of phospholipids. After entering the body, useful substances must pass through the digestive tract, where, unfortunately, most of them perish. The task of the phospholipid bilayer is to protect the substances placed in the microcapsule from contact with the body's enzymes, so that as many substances as possible can safely travel to the small intestine and be absorbed there. In this way, a more effective absorption of useful substances is achieved. The liposome enters the blood system, circulates in it for a certain period of time and easily releases useful substances.
