Both front and back, this coin's got a lot of deep color that comes to life in sunlight. The photos can only hint at the kaleidoscopic display of toning. (In order to capture some of this display, I've included three sets of axial-lighted images, each focused on a different part of the coin.) In some angles the obverse reads like a rim-toned coin, with teal blues, copper-reds, and light purples blending into a blue-and-gold field.

Still, it's a naturally-toned monster in its overall look, as evidenced by the light striations cutting diagonally across the obverse field. And though rich in color, the coin has a strong cartwheel lustre. I can say confidently that this Ike earns its PCGS gem grade.

There are a handful of '76-D Ike toners listed on eBay. Most are of the more common T2 variety, and most are listed way, way above my asking price.
