What we have here is a G.U.L bakelite fruit bowl in brown and black speckled bakelite with wavy edge detail. Moreover, while stamped on the back and dating back to the 1930's this pre war fruit bowl offers a unique minimalist yet historic design that would compliment any retro based shop, kitchen or home with either vintage or modern styling.
As for the physical and cosmetic
condition this fruit bowl has been used and are in excellent condition considering it's age as there is little signs of usage or handling scuffs while being without chips, cracks or deep scratches and as such I'd rate it as 8.5/10.
