Lovely pair of
black basalt medallions in later gilt and glazed frames.
The medallions
measure 2.75 inches and the gilt frames measure 6 inches x 7inches.
A mark is not
visible due the frame but a label the back reads “Lettering to plaque PTOL.PHYn
WEDGWOOD 27”.
On the back of
the other frame reads “646Black Basaltes medallion, 647 pair ditto “Roman
Senator and Italian Girl”
The medallions
are well modelled with crisp deep detail.
