Hi, welcome to my listing and thanks for looking.

Name: Germanic Reomer.

Type: Wine glass.

Quantity: 6.

Date: 1780 - 1800.

Size: 4 3/4" tall.

Weight: g.

Condition: Very good, no chips or cracks. 1 of the roemers has some trailing missing, see pic, this smooth and would have happened during production. Some base wear and a couple of light marks.

Comments: I've been researching the crest and motto on this roemer, it reads 'ung durant ma vie' (Only during my life) and the collared leopard is The Rodes (Rhodes) of Yorks Family Crest. The engraving is of high standard. They have a quite a lot of small bubbles and striation in the glass with a snapped pontil but is made of lead crystal. Nice fine accurate trailing on the foot.

Very rare to find a set of 6 glasses of this age.
