For sale is a classic Telos ONE plus ONE, SN 5009050, which consists of two Telos One digital hybrids in one 19" rack mount enclosure.  The Telos One is for interfacing telephone lines to professional audio systems for broadcast on-air, intercom interface, or teleconferencing use.  The very fast and precise digital automatic nulling hybrid allows smooth, natural, simultaneous conversation between the far-end caller and the sending source, like a talk-show host.  Telephone connections are via standard RJ-15 modular jacks, while audio input and output are connected via XLRs. Each hybrid has one balanced input with provision for mic or line levels and two balanced outputs. The second output may be switched to be either a second isolated output or a mix of the send and caller signals.  A complete manual is available online at www.telosalliance.com.

Manufactured in the late 90’s, the unit has recently been refurbished with new D2912-A PCM Codec Filter Integrated Circuit chips, which is what usually fails.  Though no longer made, these IC chips were manufactured in the millions and NOS ICs are still available.  It is the only chip on the main board that is socketed so it can be easily replaced, which tells me that Telos expected these ICs will need to be swapped out every now and then.  As such, with these new chips the unit should be good to go for many years to come.

Both channels have been thoroughly tested operationally and basic specs checked.  The case has several scratches but the front control panel and rear connector panels are clean (see pics).  They have that clean, natural Telos sound that makes you forget you’re listening to a telephone line.  If you would like, we can arrange a phone call and I can talk to you using the hybrid and you can hear it for yourself.
