Years ago I contacted Mel Whitley of Glastron in Texas. Mel was the original designer/builder of the 1966 Adam West Bat Boat.

I wrote him and asked if he would sign my Bat Boat if I sent it to him. He graciously agreed and I even interviewed him on the phone. He told me he’d never signed another boat and since he passed away a year or so afterwards, it’s highly likely that this is the ONLY signed example in the world.
