For sale is this gorgeous quality, fully functional, cast iron fireplace insert in a classic Victorian style. It is supplied to burn solid fuel (it will take a gas fire too, as the grate slides in and out of place) and has been stripped, cleaned, heatproof treated and polished to bring out its character.

About this fireplace:

This is an immaculate condition fireplace in a Victorian arched style, distinguishable by its use of decorative ironwork around a detail-lined arch. It is in fantastic all round condition. The beautiful detail and quality can be seen in the pictures both inside and outside of the fire, which is made by quality fire maker Gallery. This is the Lytton model and would cost around £550 elsewhere if bought new with a solid fuel kit and polished finish. Ours is as good as new, having been fully restored with a brand new solid fuel grate, and is available for much less.

The fireplace is made of solid, very heavyweight, cast iron in excellent condition. It includes mounting lugs on the outside of the body for simple and safe installation.

Complete with a brand new solid fuel grate, fully functioning damper, ornate fret bars, replaceable back plate and ash cover. This fireplace is ready to install and will add warmth and character to your home.

Fits neatly over an existing fireplace opening and will fit into most standard mantle surrounds or stand proud as it is.

About our restorations:

Our fireplaces and surrounds are restored and finished using traditional methods and materials. A restored fireplace will bear well concealed signs of the restoration work and will have natural imperfections due to the nature of antique cast iron. This simply adds to the character of the piece in our view.

Payment:

We accept credit/debit card, Paypal and Apple Pay at the ebay checkout. Please contact us if you prefer to pay for your fireplace by bank transfer. Payments should be made within three days of sale. Please note that we are duty bound to report any non-payers to ebay.

Collection and delivery:

We will securely courier the item to most parts of the U.K. but please check with us if you live in a remote location such as the Scottish Highlands or Channel Islands.

For deliveries, we ensure all of our restored fireplaces are protective wrapped and delivered by our trusted courier, who takes great care with each item. The drivers will carry your fireplace into your home and place it in a location of your choice. The cost of delivery is a flat fee of £70 per item, payable at the checkout.

If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Wilmslow, Cheshire (SK9 postcode). We will assist you where possible in loading. 

Installation:

If you are installing a heating appliance in your home, it is your responsibility to ensure that you or your builder follows building regulations and, where applicable, complies with HETAS and GAS SAFE regulations in the UK. Cast Iron Fireplace Restorations Ltd cannot accept responsibility for the performance or suitability of an individual fireplace, which should be assessed prior to installation by a suitably qualified installer.

If your fireplace is purely for decorative purposes, the HETAS and GAS SAFE regulations do not apply.

Returns and cancellation policy:

As most of our items are very old they are sold as described. We endeavour to give a genuine and honest description for every item to avoid any misunderstandings or issues.

If you are not completely happy with the item we will happily cancel the sale without fuss and provide a refund in accordance with Consumer Contract Regulations. You must return the goods to us within 14 days of receipt and they must be returned in exactly the same condition as when purchased.
