Beautifully decorated Alaska sterling silver souvenir spoon. The front of the handle depicts a dog sled, musher and dogs, mining tools, a walrus and polar bear possibly on floating ice and a glacier. The manufacturer was Joseph Mayer & Bros. The retailer was Peter Edward Kern who was a jeweler in Skagway, Alaska. It appears Peter E Kern was first in Skagway, Alaska in 1899.
