Up for sale is an original 1920s Vintage RPPC Real Photo Postcard of British Film Actress, Writer and Prominent Public Figure Eleanor Robson Belmont.  

Bio: Eleanor Robson Belmont (1879 - 1979) was born on December 13, 1879 in Wigan, Lancashire, England, UK. She was a writer, actress and prominent public figure in the United States. She was known for her acting in films such as The Case of the Black Parrot (1941), In the Next Room (1930) and A Gentleman of France (1905). She was married to August Belmont Jr.. 

Eleanor Robson Belmont (13 December 1879 – 24 October 1979) was an English actress and prominent public figure in the United States.[1] George Bernard Shaw wrote Major Barbara for her, but contractual problems prevented her from playing the role. Mrs. Belmont was involved in the Metropolitan Opera Association as the first woman on the board of directors, and she founded the Metropolitan Opera Guild. She died on October 24, 1979 in New York City, New York at the age of 100.
