This lamp has a gilded brass body, and there are 3 gilded brass feet that are attached via 3 gilded brass spires with a fluted design. The top of the lamp is held on by 5 gilded bolts that you undo to change the bulb. There is below the Bakelite black top an electrical block but remember this is from the 1930´s and is not what we would use today. It has an orange switch on top of the bakelite that works. It has a small chip out of the bakelite near the orange switch but this does not affect the lamps switching on and off. This is a beautiful lamp but please be mindful that this lamp is nearly 100 years old and I doubt you would find another like it.
We have varnished the gilding with a water based varnish to stabilize the gilding because it had started to crackle but the wiring has been left.
The lamp measures 21cm diameter at the base x 9cm diameter at the top x 37cms tall.
