Gorgeous antique crazy quilt initialed in the stitch and dated 1890, also in stitch. The quilted used a variety of remnants and embroidery methods in piecing this amazing work, likely intended to be either a wall hanging or a children's bed cover given the somewhat smaller size than typically seen. Regardless, this would make a great wall hanging piece if you have a smaller wall space.
Dimensions are approximately 47 x 49 - essentially square. The back is a brown felt in very good to excellent condition. No moth holes or weird smells.
Tons of smaller and finer details. The corners are spectacular. I wish I knew more about the artist.
