E-MU EMU Ensoniq PROTEUS 2XR ~tested working 100% ~ Fully expanded model CLEAN!! Has some scuffs and scrapes and marks with normal use over the years, as shown in the photos, yet nothing too noticeable as you can see.
The Proteus/2 XR sound module is the same as the PROTEUS 2 but with extended RAM for storing another 192 user presets and were shipped with 128 new presets, which 64 of ROM presets were duplicated in RAM.
This unit has been reset to original factory settings, and this means that preset locations #64-#127 and #191-#255 and #383 are all empty and ready for you to fill will your own custom made presets. This unit has a couple broken inner locking tabs on the case, so the top and bottom of the synth are held together by brand new industrial gauge heavy duty black rubber bands as you can see in the photos, to make it more secure. Once its racked, its all rock solid but I include the cool heavy rubber bands in case you dont rack mount this synth. The volume and data knobs work great with no skipping around. The sound is GREAT!!
The LCD is easy to read and there are no missing pixels in the readout. This synth has some of the best Orchestral sound sets out there and this is the expanded model, the XR, so you will have plenty of sonic material to work with. This expansion from E-MU originally cost an extra $400 to add on, and its worth it. You will be delighted with these Orchestral sounds.
