  • Beschreibung: Verso und recto handschriftlich bezeichnet, verso monogrammiert: "C.L.". Die Stickerei der Karte beeindruckt durch unterschiedliche Farbabstufungen der Rosen und des Blattwerks sowie des Denkmals in der Mitte. Die Karte stammt aus einer Sammlung Glückwunschkarten der Biedermeier Zeit. Beachten Sie dazu unsere weiteren Angebote. Diese Freundschafts- und Glückwunschkarten stellen liebenswerte, aber auch kulturgeschichtlich besonders interessante Zeugnisse jener Zeit dar. Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts wurde es insbesondere in Wien zu einer Sitte, sich zum neuen Jahr Höflichkeitsbesuche abzustatten und Visit- und Glückwunschkarten zu überbringen.

  • Description: Handwritten inscription on the verso and recto, monogrammed on the verso: "C.L.". The embroidery on the card is impressive due to the different colour gradations of the roses and the foliage as well as the monument in the centre. The card comes from a collection of greeting cards from the Biedermeier period. Please note our other offers. These friendship and greetings cards are endearing, but also particularly interesting testimonies to the cultural history of the period. At the end of the 18th century, it became a custom, particularly in Vienna, to pay courtesy visits to each other at the New Year and to send visiting and greeting cards.

  • Condition: Rather good condition. The image makes a very good impression. The sheet is discoloured and pale foxing due to its age; there are also slight creases in the margins.
