• Beschreibung: Ein fein gekleideter jugendlicher Bote überreicht einer Frau, die vor ihrem Schminktisch in ihrem Schlafzimmer steht, einen Brief. Sie lehnt den Brief offenbar ab und schiebt ihre Hände unter ihr Gewand. Ihre Zofe rechts beobachtet diesen Austausch, während sie ein Tablett mit Krug abstellt. Ein Haushund sitzt rechts auf einem gepolsterten Hocker.

• Description: A finely dressed youthful messenger hands a letter to a woman standing in front of her dressing table in her bedroom. She apparently rejects the letter and slips her hands under her robe. Her maid on the right observes this exchange as she sets down a tray with a jug. A pet dog sits on a cushioned stool on the right.

• Condition: Very good condition. The sheet has discoloured according to its age. There are slight creases at the lower margin. The impression of the print is fresh.
