About Himalayan TOPAZ

Himalayan Pink topaz is often considered a subset of Imperial topaz from Brazil. Colours range from champagne to deep imperial red and are often Pinkish. The highly prized “imperial topaz” is an intense golden to reddish-orange color and is found primarily in Ouro Preto, Brazil. Other deposits have been found globally exhibiting the Imperial Topaz characteristics, as in the Himalayas.

While Not as valuable as Imperial Topaz, champagne and Pinkish Himalayan topaz commands a very high price, especially for the larger pieces coveted by collectors. While cost per carat may be slightly lower than the equivalent Imperial colour, cost per piece is often higher in value due to the larger sizes of The Himalayan Topaz specimens.

The gem makes excellent Jewelry for its deep colour and durability., If Imperial Topaz's are the King of the Topaz Family, Untreated Himalayan's are with out a doubt the Queen.
