This item for sale is a beautiful, very well made, hand carved genuine shell cameo in excellent used condition with no cracks or chips. The cameo is of a scenic figural motif and is from the 1860's. It measures 1.50 inches tall and 1.25 inches across. The original "C" clasp and tube hinge are present. It is exquisite! We have a very large collection of genuine cameo fine jewelry that was in an Estate we purchased. The woman died in the early 1970's and all her things were put away and stored since then. This is part of her cameo collection that spanned over 50 years of collecting. We have cameos from as early as 1820's up to 1960's. There is about 75 in all.
