FIRST SPANISH EDITION OF AN IMPORTANT MEDICAL ATLAS OF ANATOMICAL PATHOLOGY

One text volume illustrated in text, and one atlas volume composed of 60 lithographs printed in color illustrating macroscopic and histological lesions, each plate with accompanying text page.   

The author, Etienne Lancereaux (1829-1910), was a prominent French physician best known for his pioneer contribution through clinical-pathological research in the study of diabetes, of syphilis and the study effects of alcoholism in human organs.

WORK WELL COMPLETE OF ALL PLATES AND TEXT.

Original black cloth binding with leather spines, lettering and decoration in gilt.

Condition:  Complete and in good overall condition. Ink stamp on verso of title page, occasional light spots in text, one leaf with a small perforation (not affecting text), a few leaves creased, approximately four plates affected by an old water stain, binding with some wear, the corners bumped.
