If the description OR picture does not seem correct....then please ask questions before buying. The door lock in this set is correct for the 2001 model over 90% of the time, BUT there is chance that it may NOT be correct. We have sold over 50 of this set and have had 4 occasions where the customer's 2001 model needed the older 2000 style door locks. Both locks look the same from the outside but are different on the back side. The third picture of this listing shows the shape of the tailshaft on the rear of this door cylinder....compare to your existing lock cylinder. There is a very simple way to test your existing door cylinder to see which one you have...send message BEFORE YOU BUY for help making the determination. |
This ebay auction is for one (1) Strattec brand GM/Chevy OEM ignition lock cylinder and a pair (2) of matching front door lock cylinders....all keyed alike with 3 working Chevy logo keys. This set does NOT include the spare tire lock cylinder nor any rear door lock. The door lock cylinders come minus the pawl/cam that goes on the back...you swap from old cylinders to new cylinders....small e-clip to remove. This ignition lock cylinder is for vehicles
with AUTOMATIC transmission. Vehicles with manual
transmission will take a different cylinder, which has a push-button on the
face of it. We MAY have the manual trans ignition lock (at an additional
charge)...send message and we will check to see if it is available. If you have questions, please ask BEFORE buying....include the exact year, make, and model. |
This set includes 3 working keys. For an
extra fee of $3.50 per key, we can provide EXTRA keys for this lock cut
on Chevy logo key blanks.
For an extra fee of $18.00 (for the set) we can match these locks to fit an existing key. We can often match the locks using a high resolution image of your key...guaranteed if we approve the image. Not often that an entire set of locks would need to be matched to an existing key, but we have performed this service for customers who have multiple vehicles of the same type and want one key to fit all. If you decide to buy and want any extra services, complete the transaction on the lock, but remember to send an ebay message reminding us of the extra services needed. Contact must be made immediately after buying or the locks will be shipped as is. |
