Nickel Safe Ring - Surgical Grade 316L Stainless Steel:

Steel is an alloy that contains around 11% chromium by mass, and is corrosion resistant. Both surgical and stainless steel contain nickel, but bound so that it releases no nickel ions onto the skin, and is hypoallergenic rather than nickel free. Therefore it is safe for nickel-sensitive wearers.

Are the channels either side of the sparkleblast black/grey in colour?

Answer:

No, the dark area's are only shadows from the sunlight. The whole ring is stainless steel in colour, apart from the "sparkle" area which looks like micro diamonds.

Answer:

The ring is sandblasted to create a diamond frost sparkle.
