WITHOUT CENTER

The high values (80 lepta and up) of the 1927 and 1933 Landscapes were printed two times, one for each color.
So, there are printing errors like double center, inverted center, double frame, without center, only the center.

This is the ONLY KNOWN copy of the 2 drachmas of the 1933 Landscapes set, WITHOUT CENTER. In fact there is a very small part on the upper left corner that was printed - see the 3rd scan.

There was an article on "Philotelia" magazine Nr. 672 of January-February 2012 on page 12 (scans 10 & 11)

1927/33 VIEWS WITH MISSING CENTRE

Some years ago, the depicted 2 D. stamp of the Views set, issued in 1933, with missing centre was offered for sale through an auction in Greece. A few months ago, this intriguing and probably unique error reappeared.

The block of four of the 3 D. of the views set, where one stamp appears with missing centre is a well known case, where, it was proved by various publications in Philotelia that it was in fact a concoction.

In this particular case of the 2 D. stamp, the upper left part of the central figure has unquestionably been printed.

It is assumed that while passing the sheet through printing press for the second time in order to print the central figure, something was (accidentally?) inserted, which prevented the complete figure to be printed.

Οι μεγάλες αξίες στα τοπ'ια του 1927 και του 1933 τυπώθηκαν δύο φορές, μία για το κάθε χρώμα.
Έτσι υπάρχουν διάφορα σφάλματα εκτύπωσης όπως διπλό κέντρο, ανεστραμμένο κέντρο, διπλό πλαίσιο,  χωρίς κέντρο, μόνο το κέντρο.

Αυτό είναι το ΜΟΝΑΔΙΚΟ γνωστό γραμματόσημα των τοπίων του 1933 ΧΩΡΙΣ ΚΕΝΤΡΟ.
Στην πραγματικότητα υπάρχει ένα πολύ μικρό μέρος του που εκτυπώθηκε στην πάνω αριστερή γωνία - δες το 3ο scan.

Υπήρξε άρθρο στην "Φιλοτέλεια" Νο. 672 του Ιανουαρίου - Φεβρουαρίου 2012 στη σελίδα 12 (δες scan 10&11).

ΤΟ ΑΡΘΡΟ:

ΤΟΠΙΑ 1927/1933 ΧΩΡΙΣ ΚΕΝΤΡΟ

Πριν από αρκετά χρόνια, είχε εμφανιστεί σε ελληνική δημοπρασία το εικονιζόμενο δίδραχμο των Τοπίων, έκδοσης 1933, χωρίς κέντρο. Το ενδιαφέρον και ίσως μοναδικό αυτό σφάλμα ξαναεμφανίστηκε πριν μερικούς μήνες.

Είναι γνωστή η περίπτωση της τετράδας του τρίδραχμου με το ένα γραμματόσημο χωρίς κέντρο, το οποίο, όμως, όπως αποδείχτηκε από δημοσιεύσεις στη Φιλοτέλεια, ήταν ένα κατασκεύασμα.

Στη συγκεκριμένη περίπτωση του δίδραχμου, το πάνω αριστερό μέρος του κέντρου είναι σαφώς εκτυπωμένο.

Πιθανολογείται ότι, κατά το δεύτερο πέρασμα του φύλλου από το πιεστήριο για την εκτύπωση της κεντρικής παράστασης, κάτι παρεμβλήθηκε (κατά τύχη) που εμπόδισε την πλήρη εκτύπωση της κεντρικής παράστασης.
