Please consult the compatibility chart including any notes pertaining to your vehicle. Please read the entire description including shipping & return sections. If the description OR picture does not seem correct....then please ask questions before buying. The ignition lock cylinder is the PASSLOCK type. The keys are NOT electronic in any way, but the lock cylinder has a small magnet in it that interacts with a sensor located inside the steering column. A replacement cylinder of this type is usually needed when there is a MECHANICAL problem with the existing lock....such as the cylinder not turning or damage from an attempted theft. If your existing lock is turning as it should, but the vehicle is not cranking or you are getting a flashing "security" light in the dash, the problem is probably something other than the lock cylinder. The problem could be with the sensor in the steering column housing, wiring leading to or away from the sensor, or other electronic issues. |
This ebay auction is for one (1) Strattec brand GM OEM ignition lock cylinder with three (3) GMC logo keys...just as pictured. This ignition lock cylinder is for vehicles
with AUTOMATIC transmission. Vehicles with manual
transmission will take a different cylinder, which has a push-button on the
face of it. We MAY have the manual trans ignition lock (at an additional

This lock comes with three working keys. For an extra fee of $3.50 per key, we can provide extra keys for this lock cut on GMC logo key blanks. For an extra fee of $9.00 we can match this lock to fit an existing key. We can often match the lock using a high resolution image of your key...guaranteed if we approve the image. Send picture of key BEFORE buying so that we can make sure all is good for matching a lock. |
