Description
Frank Griffith 1889-1979
'Harbour Scene'
A truly fantastic original twentieth century impressionist oil painting by the listed artist Frank Griffith. The painting depicts an attractive harbour scene with a large moored ship. As with all of Griffith's work, the quality is excelllent with great attention to detail. The piece is annotated and with the artists studio stamp to verso. We have acquired a large collection of paintings from the artist's studio, all of the paintings are in near gallery condition and will be listed over the coming weeks.
The painting is presented in a decorative blue wooden frame, which compliments the piece well.
The painting has one or two small scuffs to the board, but this does not detract from the quality and is hardly noticeable. A lovely example.
This is a rare opportunity to purchase an original oil painting by a well listed artist, who was extremely accomplished in his field. Griffith exhibited alongside the most highly rated artists in the early twentieth century, including a number of solo exhibitions in France.
