You are buying a brand new Amazing Spider-man Mego 12 1/2 inch 1977 1st edition Canadian Version, with the thinner Spider-man body, Marvel Comics figure. This figure was manufactured by MEGO  and is considered a  vintage action figure due to its age.  This is Mego item 4018.

The figure is in mint condition and the box is in nm/mint condition, still factory sealed, having been pulled from factory master case. The corners are square, the flap is unfolded and also in perfect condition.  This item has the original factory tape on the box and please note the very neat square corners. The text is very sharp and clear with no wear on the surfaces.

The figure window is very clear and in near perfect condition. Please take a close look at the picture and note the clarity, and  edges. For a figure that is almost 38 years old, this figure is in remarkable condition and  does not reflect the aging effects of a piece cardboard stored in a factory case over that time. This figure was from an original factory case and has been stored in same for 37 years and has not been in any light nor exposed to the air until this listing as we took pictures. . MEGO figures in this condition are almost impossible to find due to the manufacturing methods and materials used in toy making 30 years ago and is what makes Mego's so collectible and desired among collectors. .

This figure was make in Hong Kong in 1977 and the cardboard does not appear to have any of the modern day finish nor surface coating that protect new figures made today.  Pictures of the actual item are listed, please have a close up look at them. As of this date in June of 2014, there are 2 AFA graded figures of this item on eBay, one listed at $2999 AFA 90, and another listed at AFA85 for $2500. We have been in the action figure business for over 24 years, and in our opinion, this item is comparable. Over  that time we have sold thousands of action figures.  Here is an opportunity to obtain a raw item in great shape and have it graded yourself if you wish. It will  cost  money to have this item graded but it would preserve it in place for the future. Mego vintage item in this condition are very hard to find and are very collectible.

Most collectors will make a complete examination of the item first before and check for  defects before submitting the item  for grading.  Please examine all of the details in our pctures As very experienced dealers we have looked over this item and feel that any other owner if they wished would get a very good result if this item is graded. Granted that is our opinion and it is a conflict of interest for us as sellers to render an opinion as to grade  this item with a score as we are not a 3rd party grading company,.  We have tried to give you the buyer a chance to add an VHTF item to your collection and have the item graded yourself.
