Here is a really lovely WW1, solid silver, royal navy sweetheart brooch. The brooch  measures one inch by one & threequarter inches and is all set in solid silver. This brooch is quite lovely on a bar and then to the centre with the border of the military emblem for the royal navy with the anchor & crown being in enamel. On the back it has a pin and Cclasp working well and is clearly marked for silver and it dates to the 1st world war. This brooch is really quite lovely as its a sweetheart brooch given to nearest & dearest, loved ones, as a token of their love, whilst away serving the country and this one has really been cherished and is very poignant being for world war 1. This really is a lovely WW1 sweetheart brooch in very good origional complete condition and a lovely early example of these.
