These rotating bearings are heavy duty mechanical grade with a high load capacity. They are made of corrosion-resistant aluminium. They turn with a strong, smooth movement, not free spinning, because they have to support a lot of weight. They support as much as 70 times their own weight. The rotating aluminium rings are strong and wide, to provide a large amount of support for attached plates, and 5mm steel ball bearings within the rings ensure smooth movement.
These bearings are incredibly easy to set up with no installation required, but can be installed easily with the pre-drilled holes. For use as a serving plate, for example, with a wooden or glass top plate, the top plate can simply be placed on the plastic support feet. The weight of the top plate and the food will hold it in place. However, for more technical or permanent installations, these bearings can be screwed or fixed as they have through and pre drilled holes. These holes make it easy to screw the bearing down on both sides for a sturdy set-up.
The slim, low-profile design of these bearings means that they can be installed without adding bulk. The pre-drilled holes are countersunk to ensure the screws sit flush against the surface. They are reversible so whichever configuration works best for your project can be used.
We recommend that you choose a bearing which is around 50-75% of the diameter of the top plate you plan on using to strike the optimal balance between sturdiness and easy movement.

Postage is fast and free in the UK, unless you are buying a larger bearing and having it sent to Highlands or islands. Smaller bearings will be dispatched with Royal Mail 48. Larger bearings will be dispatched with a courier and the delivery time and charge will depend on delivery postcode.
