Symptom: Walking belt doesn't move
Turn off the power switch and remove the motor hood. Locate the red LED on the controller. It's located between the A- motor connector and the edge of the board. While observing the LED turn on the power. There should be a split second flash followed by a solidly lit LED and a beep should come from the console. If that fails to happen the controller needs to be replaced. If ok next

If you have read other listings before seeing this one be skeptical of the claims of manufacturer returns and overstock are ?? The manufacturer doesn't sell returned parts. We know this because we are an authorized seller.
Also claims that the controller is new but taken out of a frame damaged treadmill are many times false.
A new controller will not have scrape marks around the mounting holes. It only will from being installed during assembly.
It is not necessary to mount it to test as claimed by other sellers.
Each new controller is tested before we ship it so if there is a problem when it's installed we have a toll free tech support line with experienced techs. Not phone clerks and certainly not limited to E-mail

****Treadmill Motor Testing****
Your motor controller may have failed due to a defect in the motor which can only be determined by doing a DC amp test. Hooking it up to a battery to see if it runs isn’t enough. The motor controller also may have failed because of a poorly lubricated or worn walking belt. It is important to properly test the motor and lubricate the walking belt before reinstalling a new or rebuilt controller. Failure to confirm the motor is within specs could result in failure of the controller.
You will need
1. Digital meter with a separate jack on the front for DC amps. Clamp meters will not work for this.
2. Battery pack fully charged typically 18-20 VDC from a rechargeable power tool. Alternate voltages will work but be sure to note it in the final information needed.
Test with the drive belt on.
1. Set the meter function switch to the DC amp position. Typical meter will be for 10 or 20amps
2. Move the red meter lead to the DC amp jack
3. Disconnect motor leads from the controller and insert the red meter probe into the connector on the red lead from the motor.
4. Hook up the black lead from the motor to the negative terminal of the battery. If not sure which one is negative hook up the motor directly to the battery if it goes clockwise you have the black on the correct terminal.
5. Touch the black meter probe to the plus terminal of the
battery. If you have it hooked up correctly the motor will run and the meter
will read the amp draw. The motor needs to run for 10 seconds or so for a
correct number. If it doesn't run check the fuse inside the meter. If all else
fails give us a call for assistance
Test with the drive belt off
6. This reading is the most important! Repeat the test with the drive belt off the motor. Most drive belts can be removed without loosening the motor by turning the flywheel and pressing outward on the belt until it walks itself off. Be certain the flywheel doesn’t have anything touching it during this test.
7. I need to know both amp readings, the voltage used for the test
and both HP ratings off the motor label. Call or message us with the results.
