Date taken: 1930's. Condition: Mint -Taken fresh off my negative. This is a great photograph of a drug store soda fountain. It was taken around Christmas time. The back bar is covered with Christmas ornaments, and presents, including a Speed Byke bicycle motorcycle. A cardboard Coca-Cola garland that says, "Drink Coca-cola, Be Alert", hangs above the mirror. A group of tables with soda fountain chairs can be seen at the right of the photo. The Counter top is marble, and the counter is lined with stools, one of which holds a customer smoking a cigar. Employees stand behind the bar, a uniformed waitress, a pharmacist, a "soda jerk", and a non-uniformed woman. A glass "Tom's Peanuts" container rests on one end of the bar, and other apothecary jars of goodies stand at the far end. Note the tin tile roof, ceiling fans, and hanging light fixtures.
