WW2 British Corp of MP (Military Police) Helmet Decal Stencil Template

You are buying a decal template that can be used on WWII British Helmets to create the insignia for the Corp of MP's (Military Police).

The MP's first engaged in combat in 1882 at the Battle of Tel el-Kebir. Although technically two independent corps, these two effectively functioned as a single organisation. In 1926 they were fully amalgamated to form the Corps of Military Police (CMP). In recognition of their service in the Second World War, they became the Corps of Royal MP (RMP) on 28 November 1946 under Army Order 167.

The stencil is made from very high quality acrylic vinyl with tacky backing, which in layman's terms means its re-usable! It is being sold to do one helmet, however, we have been using one of these decals on over 25+ helmets and it is still going strong, that's how durable it is! This stencil allows you to spray or hand paint the blue rectangle (The CMP also had square patches), and the 'MP' insignia. You need to hand paint out the two 'arms' on the 'P' but this is easy if you are hand painting and if spray painting just remove the stencil, spray some paint in a container and hand paint the 'arms'! The stencil does not supply the red band round the helmet, you need to use masking tape for this!

The helmet in the picture is not for sale but shows the decal in use and freshly applied (un-aged)! Why try to make your own decal when this one will do several helmets, share it amongst your re-enactment unit!
