Delightful vintage hardback 'Fairy Tales from Hans Andersen and Grimm' with  8 colour plates by Harry Clarke and Ethel Betts

The cover says 'Stories from' and the title inside is 'Fairy Tales from'.In good to very good condition for era, which is presumed 1930's due to the dedication from Christmas 1932, but is undated, and published by J.Coker and Co.

Plates are all present and clean, the frontispiece is present. Book is tightly bound and complete with some foxing-mainly to end papers as shown,the main book being generally fox free.

Green boards and paste down illustration to front are again good with minimal bumping / chipping to corners. Cloth spine and title is clear and legible.

All in all a great find and unusual to find in such nice condition for a much loved children's book of this era.

Measures approx 25cm x 19xm x 3.5cm.
