Flex Ball Design For Added Articulation

This item is a pair of weld together shackle hangers for 2 1/2" wide leaf springs. They feature a flex ball component for added articulation. In long travel leaf spring suspensions, the axle will rotate as it drops on one side. This angles the shackle, which then binds against the bushings, causing limited travel and premature bushing wear. By using a rotating part, wear is minimized and travel is enhanced.

The flex ball assemblies are greasable for longer life and use poly bushings that are easily replaced if the joint needs servicing.

This product is best used with flat shackle bar components that do not have a center cross brace. This flex ball assembly accepts a 9/16" bolt. Welding is required to install them.
