  • It is gold plated so it will eventually tarnish. There is no guarantee on jewelry changing colors! 
    • How fast it tarnishes depends on many factors and how well you take care of it. 
    • If you sweat a lot in it and take showers in it, it will tarnish a lot faster. If you wipe it down after each use with a cloth and keep it in a zip-lock bag when not wearing it, it will last longer.  
    • Zip-lock bag is included along with a "How to Care for Your Plated Jewelry" tips sheet.
    • Some of our clients have had success by applying a thin coat of clear nail polish or Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Coatin on it to make it last longer.
    • Please see YouTube videos for more instructional videos on how to prevent costume jewelry from changing colors before trying it out and always test a conspicuous area like the back clasp before doing the entire necklace. There are no guarantees on the necklace changing colors from utilizing this suggested method.
