Darklands - Vaenhildr, Fellhrafn

Mierce Miniatures is a new company that produces extremely high quality polyurethane resin miniatures for the Darklands wargame, as well as the BaneLegions miniature range and the Templar's Forge hobby and accessories range.

Darklands is a wargame set in a fantasy world not too different from our own. Beginning in the year AD 650, Darklands will combine various fantastical and historical elements found in northwest Europe in the so-called 'Dark Ages' in a wargame that will be intuitive, fresh and interesting. Much of its setting will be known to fantasy wargamers everywhere, and thus be very easily accessible. It also has the biggest gribblies you'll see in any 30mm wargame! 

You will know them as the Vikings of Scandinavia, and whilst it may seem a stretch to bring their raids forward a hundred and fifty years it actually isn't, for the Vikings did not suddenly explode upon the coast of northwest Europe; they were known of for hundreds of years beforehand. Composed of savage, wild warriors and the Jötnar (the Giants) who find themselves in an uneasy alliance, they are beginning to harass and raid the coasts of northwest Europe in their longships.  

Vaenhildr is a stunningly beautiful miniature and has been sculpted by Roberto Chaudon from the artwork by Danny Cruz. Hovering over an 80mm base, she's a perfectly realised sculpt of a raven and will prove to be an excellent mount for Birna, when that combination is released of course!
